6 January 2009 A young girl is dead after being struck by another boat while water skiing on Lake Taupo. Police say she had just finished skiing after being towed by the family boat when she was struck.

Kawerau River collision looks to have claimed two lives

6 January 2009 It is believed the two men lost, feared dead, after a collision on the Kawarau River, near Queenstown, were not wearing life jackets. The men have not been seen since a jet boat and jet ski collided on an open stretch of river around 7.30 last night.
